Please respect your fellow campers.

Please do not take your motor vehicle beyond the unloading point (if camping in The Orchard).
Please do not drive onto the Funky Field if instructed not to (because of wet ground).
Only park your motor vehicle in the designated parking area.
Please do not walk around the vegetable fields or the polytunnels without asking.
Please do not walk around our farm buildings or our neighbour's property at all.

For Campers who bring your own Tents

Payment of Fees
The camping fees and vehicle charge for your whole stay (less the deposit if one was paid) must be paid on the day of your arrival.

Cancellations and Refunds
The booking deposit will not be refunded should you cancel. At our discretion, the deposit may be credited towards a future stay (within two years), if you give us reasonable notice of your cancellation and we are able to take another booking to fill your pitch.

If you leave early: in the Low Season, we will refund all of your payment for the remaining days; in the Peak Season, 50% of your payment for the remaining days will be refunded (or more at our discretion, depending on circumstances and time of year, and if we can fill your pitch).

Credits
Credits are valid for two years, towards a single future stay by you, not for use as payment of a booking deposit, but only as payment of the balance.

For Campers hiring Yurts and Bell Tents

Payment of Fees
At least 50% of the total fee is required to confirm your booking.
The balance (including the deposit against damage) must be paid at least 14 days before your arrival date.
If the balance has not been paid by 7 days before your arrival date, so long as we have sent you a reminder of the payment required, we will consider your booking cancelled, with no refund payable.
(Please note that there are different arrangements if you do not have a UK bank account).

Deposit against Damage
You must pay a £100 deposit against damage or degradation to the yurt (£50 for bell tents). This will be repaid in full so long as there is no damage and you leave the tent clean.
Deductions may be made for things such as mud or stains on the rugs or mattresses, spillages or general mess, or physical damage. If anything more than a quick clean is required after you leave, a minimum of £10 will be deducted from your deposit.
Any damage during your stay must be paid within 24 hours, so that we retain your full deposit until the end of your stay.
We normally repay your deposit when you leave, but if we are unable to check the tent at the time of your departure, we will repay it by bank transfer as soon as possible.

Cancellations and Refunds
In the event of you having to cancel, we always try to be reasonable and refund as much of your payment as possible, in accordance with the following:

We always refund the deposit against damage if one has been paid.
On the fees you have paid, we give the following refunds (less a £20 admin charge):

We will give a refund in full if we get a replacement booking for all of the dates of your booking.

If we do not get a replacement booking for all of your dates, we refund:
80% of your payment if you cancel two months or more before your date of arrival;
70% of your payment if you cancel between 6 weeks and two months of your date of arrival;
60% of your payment if you cancel between one month and 6 weeks of your date of arrival;
50% of your payment if you cancel between two weeks and one month of your date of arrival;
40% of your payment if you cancel between one week and two weeks of your date of arrival;
30% of your payment if you cancel less than one week before your date of arrival.
If you do not turn up and do not contact us, we reserve the right to reallocate your booking to someone else, with no refund.

We will pay the refund within one month of your cancellation, or earlier if possible.
Refunds are only made by internet bank transfer. If it is to a non-UK bank account, there will be an additional £10 admin charge. We are not liable for any deductions made by the banks.

The Rules for the Woodburners in the Yurts

Your fee for the yurt includes £5 per day for use of the woodburner. If you do not use the woodburner at all, this is refunded at the end of your stay.
Firewood is an extra cost.
The woodburner must not be used without getting permission and receiving instruction.
Fireguards are provided and must be placed around the woodburner at all times if young children are in the yurt.
Children under 10 must not be left unattended in the yurt when the woodburner is in use.
Only adults are to put logs into the woodburner.
Firewood is not to be chopped inside the yurt.
Only water may be heated on the woodburner - no cooking.
No clothes or other flammable items must be placed on, nor hung above, nor placed within 50cm of the woodburner.
The woodburner door must be kept closed at all times, except when loading logs.
Ash must not be emptied from the woodburner.
The hirer is responsible for following the rules and guidelines and for using the woodburner safely.

Changes to your Accommodation
If circumstances arise that prevent us from giving you the yurt or bell tent of your choice, we will try to accommodate you in an alternative space. It could mean that you have a bell tent rather than a yurt (this has happened once in six years). If you have to take an alternative that is cheaper, we will refund the difference.
If something happens that prevents us from providing any accommodation at all, we will let you know as early as possible, refund all of your payment, and try to find you alternative accommodation if appropriate. (This has not yet happened).
