Here is our selection of Beaches and Coast Walks in the local area.
A more up-to-date and detailed version of this is in our Info Pack for Campers on Google Drive.

SEATON BEACH: sandy beach with safe bathing, beach cafe.

FROM SEATON TO MILLENDREATH OR LOOE: walk along the beach to Millendreath, or continue further to Looe (2-3 hours) (This must be done at LOW TIDE). and return via the coast path to Seaton or via the Monkey Sanctuary road to Keveral. (Or do it the other way around according to tide).

RAME HEAD: at the far end of Whitsand Bay, great walks and great views. Mt. Edgecumbe Country Park is close by. 12 miles.

FREATHY BEACH, WHITSAND BAY: unspoilt, sandy beach, safe bathing, walk down a cliff path from the car park, where there are toilets. Cliff Top Cafe at Tregonhawke. 9 miles.

SHAG ROCK BEACH: 20 minutes walk along beach from Downderry, accessible only at low tide or by a steep track from the coast path, unspoilt, sandy beach, safe bathing, nudist beach!

LOOE, TALLAND AND POLPERRO: Go from Looe to Polperro and back, by walking along the coast path, by bus, or by boat (subject to season and tides), to see a great stretch of coastline. At Talland, there is a beach with cafe, toilets, car park and canoes for hire. Polperro is an old Cornish fishing village, but is very touristy and the only car park is expensive,

POLRUAN TO LOOE: a long hike for strong walkers only, you can get a bus from Looe to Polruan, then walk back along the coast path, passing Lantic Bay, Lansallos, Polperro and Talland. To shorten the distance, get off the bus before Polruan.
